Practice Areas
Care and Protection
A Care and Protection case occurs when someone reports that a child is being abused and/or neglected because their parents are not taking care of them. Most of the care and protections are filed by the Department of Children and Families (DCF).
Grandparents' Rights
Grandparents may petition the courts for custodial visitations and rights when parents are divorced, separated, deceased, or unmarried. Grandparents may also petition for visitation when the child is involved in the foster care system.
Custody
Oftentimes, parents who are divorced, separated, or unmarried will choose to set up custody agreements that dictate a parental visitation schedule, medical and educational decisions, and other decisions that will ensure a smooth co-parenting transition.
Guardianship & Conservatorship
In Massachusetts, a guardian is appointed by a court to personal, healthcare, and daily living decisions for an incapacitated person. A conservator is appointed by a court to make financial, business, and property decisions for an incapacitated person.
Divorce
Spouses who choose to end their marriage in Massachusetts are subject to residency requirements and waiting periods, as well as equitable distribution, the division of marital assets in a fair manner that does not always mean 50/50. Potential financial support and custody issues may also arise.
Social Security Benefits
Social Security is a federal insurance program that provides benefits including financial assistance to those who are retired, unemployed, or disabled. The Social Security program encompasses retirement income, disability income, Medicare, Medicaid, and death and survivorship benefits.

About Attorney
Gulnara Sadowski
My interest in family law began with my first internship in law school in the Harrisburg Juvenile courts. Being able to witness how many families are involved with the legal system was an eye-opening experience that taught me how prevalent legal involvement in families is. Ever since then I have dedicated myself to fighting for the rights of the average person.
It is often said that family lawyers encounter their clients on the worst days of their lives. It is my mission to ensure that understanding the legal system is not a barrier to justice for any family. I dedicate myself fully to my clients inside and outside of the courtroom to offer the maximum support necessary for these sensitive issues.
I earned my BA from Cornell University and my JD from The Penn State Dickinson School of Law.
